This auction is for the two end table tops. The artist had a heart attact and left these and a few other projects to be completed by you. This auction is for the tops to the tables only. The bases were not made. The end table tops are 26" x 21" and are 1 1/2" thick. Both pieces are made with solid wide boards of Fijian Yaka wood. Yaka looks a lot like Hawaiian Koa in color and grain. They have been sculpted all around the edges to have the beveled appeal and as you can see each table has a free form design. The tops have been finished with a Varathane Polyurathane water proof finish. The top are in very good condition as the bottom are but the bottoms have some scratching that will not be visable anyway. There are many ways to complete this project and one idea I had was to have a sculptural metal base constucted for each top. One could also make tops for quality designer storage chests or even use them for bench tops..the list of ideas is endless and the hard finishing work is already done. There is over $150 just in Yaka lumber alone in these tops.
