Increase Sales by 18% and double your hits - Vendio Gallery The wood grain on this great old rustic trunk is amazing! This handmade piece certainly has some age to it. I merely dusted it off, the patina is just lovely. I do think that part of it is knotty pine, but I am not sure about the top, It is all solid wood and quite substantial and weighty. All of the hardware appears original, except I do think that one screw has been replaced. The top is recessed into the trunk, leaving a nice smooth line, could even double as a seat. The hardware appears to be iron, the inside is divided into two sections. There is a 3/4" lip that hangs over all the way around the top, giving it a very unique and interesting appearance. This would be a great addition to any home. Low start with no reserve. This trunk measures just shy of 10" tall, the top is approximately 12" X 23". The bottom measures 10" X 21". The thickness of the top is about 7/8" and the thickness of the trunk is just shy of 2 inches.
